چکیده

Spherically symmetric, vacuum solutions in 5D and 7D Kaluza-Klein theory are obtained. These solutions are flux tubes with constant cross-sectional size, located between (+) and (-) Kaluza-Klein “electrical” and “magnetic” charges disposed respectively at r = ±∞ and filled with constant Kaluza-Klein “electrical” and “magnetic” fields. These objects are surprisingly similar to the flux tubes which form between two monopoles in Type-II superconductors and also the hypothesized color field flux tube that is thought to form between two quarks in the QCD vacuum. Strings from Flux Tube Solutions in Kaluza-Klein Theory

We calculate dimensional reduction of gravitational flux tube solutions in the scheme of Kaluza-Klein theory. The fifth dimension is compacified to a region of Planck size. Assuming the width of the tube to be also Planck size we obtain string-like object with physical fields originated from an initial 5D metric. The dynamics of these fields is inner one.

Wormholes and Flux Tubes in 5D Kaluza-Klein Theory

In this paper spherically symmetric, nonasymptotically flat solutions to 5D Kaluza-Klein theory, with “electric” and/or “magnetic” fields are investigated. It is shown that the global structure of the spacetime depends on the relation between the “electrical” and “magnetic” Kaluza-Klein fields. For small “magnetic” field we find a wormhole-like solution located between two null surfaces. As the...

Gravitational Flux Tubes

By studying multidimensional Kaluza-Klein theories, or gravity plus U(1) or SU(2) gauge fields it is shown that these theories possess similar flux tube solutions. The gauge field which fills the tube geometry of these solutions leads to a comparision with the flux tube structures in QCD. These solutions also carry a “magnetic” charge, Q, which for the SU(2) Einstein-Yang-Mills (EYM) system exh...

Wormholes and Flux Tubes in Kaluza-Klein Theory

In this work we investigate a class of spherically symmetric metrics in multidimensional (MD) gravity. The metric ansatz which is used has off diagonal elements which leads to these solutions having “electric” and/or “magnetic” charges. The solutions examined here are either MD wormholes or infinite/finite flux tubes. It is found that the type of solution obtained depends crucially on the relat...

Strings in the Einstein’s paradigm of matter

Spherically symmetric solutions with a flux of electric and magnetic fields in Kaluza-Klein gravity are considered. It is shown that under the condition (electric charge q) ≈ (magnetic charge Q) (q > Q) these solutions are like a flux tube stretched between two Universes. The longitudinal size of this tube depends on the value of δ = 1− Q/q. The cross section of the tube can be chosen ≈ lPl. In...
